Some useful information about the Sedley Court complex
How to apply for accommodation All students are nominated to CAMCAT Housing Association by Anglia Ruskin University Accommodation Services (UAS). As soon as a prospective student has firmly accepted a conditional or unconditional offer from the university, they should contact UAS for an application form for accommodation or print one from their website. The application form should be returned to UAS who will then nominate people to CAMCAT. From that point onwards, CAMCAT will contact the nominees. UAS contact detail University Accommodation Services Telephone Fax and Answer machine: 01223 417706 Arrivals On arrival, contact a member of scheme staff who will able to assist with moving in, traffic control, unloading vehicles and offering general advice. There is very limited car parking at Sedley Court. As such, vehicles will only be allowed limited unloading time, before being required to move. Normal Key collection will be from 10am to 4pm every day Please notify the office a minimum of 72 hours before arrival on sedley.court@aldwyck.co.uk If you are an international student and think you will be arriving outside of the hours highlighted above you must contact Sedley Court by email and make special key collection arrangements. It is your responsibility to make these special arrangements in advance, as you will be responsible for making your own temporary accommodation arrangements if you arrive at a time when the scheme office is not open. If you intend to arrive prior to the 4th September 2010 you need to be aware that your room will not be available for you. However, it may be possible to book into a Hotel, Bed & Breakfast or Guest House. Staff at the accommodation office of Anglia Ruskin University will be able to advise you about this. Departure Rooms must be vacated by 10.00am on the morning of departure. Tenants are asked to leave their rooms in a clean condition and return their keys to the Scheme Manager's Office. You will sign out and an inspection will be completed and detail checked for you deposit return this can take up to 30 minutes, so please leave enough time. Conduct of Visitors Visitors are expected to act with consideration for others and to refrain from any behaviour which would cause danger, discomfort or annoyance to other visitors to the scheme its staff and neighbours. Visitors not staying overnight should not be in the building between 12am and 8am. Overnight guests are permitted to stay 1 night out of every 7 only. Any visitor whose conduct is unsatisfactory may be required to leave the scheme. Internet Access There are data points in each room, students are able to sign up to an internet service provided by Studentcom. Students register online, once they have arrived at Sedley Court. Payments are made with a credit and debit card at a cost of £125. Further information will be given out on arrival. |
